I really enjoyed this lovely fragrance. It does smell similar to Tom Ford Black Orchid but much more rich and colpex. This is a new favorite of mone.

Dark, bold, masculine & mysterious. Not everyone call pull this scent off. Heavy smoky incense, buttery iris, some green notes. Very similar to his brother (Interlude Original) but a lot more spicier without the oregano. If you like uniqueness you'll love this scent, you'll never find someone wearing this. The original Interlude last longer and the scent to me is better.
Sillage/ Projection: 9/10, Longevity: 9/10. Fall and Winter fragrance.

Amouage is a powerhouse in perfumery that always brings the richness, elegant complexity, uniqueness & performance in their perfume. Yes its quality, lasts all day, it projects, it's an amazing blend that gets you noticed and only a single spray does the job! Lets break down why i only gave 4☆
The opening notes are a great combo that I love. The rosemary adds a fragrant twist that isn't too herbal. The bottom notes ground the blend and bring dimention to the masculine quality of leather & wood. The drydown is warm, sophisticated with a "swetness" that offset the brut qualities of leather, woods & amber in some men's fragrances.
The mid-notes are where the blend gets interesting. It's where the sweeter flair comes, the depth of the blend goes from great to alluring where myrrh, frankincense and orris plays with the bottom notes. For me, there's something about the addition of the vanilla that takes the sweetness into a territory that's almost overwhelming. It REALLY highlights the sweeter elements of the myrrh, the patchouli & orris. It would've been great without it, or less of it. A good perfume regardless; I wear it often, but that vanilla note keeps this from being a favorite.
